Family Night: Time for Reflecting

We have this really neat place near us that is part Bible bookstore and part Bible study spot. Neat, huh?! I've been wanting to go and would love to make it a regular routine, but decided first of all to take Emily for a date there. She loves to read and has read her copy of the Picture Bible nearly half a dozen times. Cover.to.cover.

She's had her eye on the Action Bible, so we were able to purchase that for her and sit and read/share about what we were reading. It was so lovely. Relaxing, peaceful, refreshing. Ahhhhhhh.....

Hoping to go again soon!

That looks absolutely lovely and so nostalgic - just my "cuppa'..!" My oldest son loves his Action Bible; we'll find him in the middle of his floor reading often. How close are you to Central, SC? We'll be there for my sister's wedding in about two weeks? I'd love to find that sweet spot!

What a beautiful place! I would be very interested in your opinion of the Action Bible as compared with the Picture Bible. :)

Neat! I don't recall you mentioning that place before. Glad you had a nice outing with Emily.

I love that shop. I found my Bible case there, very reasonably priced, too.

I am so excited to see you talk about a children's Bible. My
3rd daughter (who is almost 12) is being confirmed next Sunday and we wanted to get her a gift. I had gotten my 2nd daughter an illustrated Bible but now at 19 wonder if she feels like it would be babyish. But....honestly I think most adults would enjoy a picture Bible! I know I am a visual person. I also would like to know how the 2 kids Bibles compare and what drew her to that certain one. I will be buying m daughters this coming week.

Hi Monica.

That looks like such a lovely store/shop, like a Christian version of Barnes & Noble! My kiddos love the Action Bible...especially my son. Perfect for boys who sometimes struggle with having to "read"!!!

Blessings,
Valerie

What a wonderful place! I can't even imagine something like that ever popping up in Australia.
